EVALUATION OF YOUR BLOGGING EXPERIENCE

My experience with the blog was really good, at first I did not know how to write in a language which I do not handle well, and learn in the attempt, especially if I am a little afraid, both when speaking and writing in English. Even with that "fear" most of the blogs I decided to write them using the translator as little as possible, guided by what I knew and using the dictionary. I was able to keep up with the publication of more than half of the blogs, but from time to time due to the academic load of other subjects, I fell behind with some of the blogging, and in fact, when I was preparing to do them, my brain was in "loading" mode, so some blogs published them with great distrust, since I doubted the way I wrote it.

The activity itself helped me a little more to learn new vocabulary and strengthen a little the one I already knew, especially in the part of reading the blogs of my classmates, every time I started reading the blogs, I tried to mentally translate them and capture the ideas they wrote, when there were words I didn't know or phrases, I looked for help in the translator or dictionary.

Personally, I would have liked to write about topics such as places in the world, different cultures or books, I liked this activity itself, but I don't think I will continue writing after finishing it.

PETS AND ANIMALS

When I was little, I was afraid of animals in general, but specifically of dogs because every time I tried to get close to one there was someone who told me that they could bite me, and the truth, better to be prevent than regret.

Over the years, for some reason of the universe, on my birthdays I always received one or more toys shaped like of dogs, and one of those gifts caught my attention a lot, it was a small dog with many "Rolls" and I literally fell in love of that dog, I did not know until recently that this breed of dogs is called Shar Pei. This gift, even if it was just a stuffed animal, helped me stop being afraid of approaching animals because now I no longer felt fear, but tenderness.

I never had pets because I live in a small apartment, but I always wanted to have a pet and it would obviously be a Shar Pei dog, it would be "symbolic".

I like this breed of dog because beyond a stuffed animal that helped me overcome fear of animals, I love their physical characteristics, as well as being very calm dogs from what I understood, so obviously we would get along well. Honestly, call me crazy, but these dogs' faces give me peace of mind so it's a great reason to have one in the future and I'd call it "Jack”, exactly, like DiCaprio on Titanic.

A SUBJECT I ENJOY STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

Being honest in this semester not many of the subjects caught my attention, but I must highlight a specific subject, that despite the method in which the classes are being taught, he managed to attract my attention much more than the rest. My favorite subject of the semester is Dynamics of public administration, I like this subject too much because, quoting my professor, this subject is like anatomy in medicine, here we know the internal and external structure of the state public administration, how it is deconcentrated and how each agency depends on the central power, who is in charge and what are the functions performed by the corresponding authorities.

We go from theory to see all that theory in the actions of public bodies in our country, all of this through the corresponding activities in the unit, in my section we mainly make reports in which we focus on an organism that complies with the characteristics that we are studying in the unit. Being the focus that we give in these public bodies what I like the most, since in part it helps me to know in which area of the career I will want to focus in the future.

A career-related website / an expert on your field

The website I will talk about today is "Sin miedo" which is a site for ideas and solutions about citizen security and justice in Latin America and the Caribbean. This site is part of the Inter-American Development Bank, this space presents a series of blogs with professional authors in public matters and law. This website can be viewed in three different languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Presents us with academic and work information from the authors; as also has the classification of blogs into six different categories (Statistics and crime data; Police; Crime prevention; Justice reform; Prison systems; Gender violence).

By being subscribed to this website, I receive notifications with each post, therefore, I visit it every time a title catches my attention, which you could say is frequently. I like it mainly because in the future I would like to specialize in criminology and citizen security management, so I consider it a platform that deals these various topics in a profound way, with supporting data and well developed due to the authors it has, and not only in a country, but as I mentioned earlier, throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Favourite music genre / Musician

Since listening to music has become one of my favorite hobbies,  I have realized that I do not tend to listen to a single genre of music, I think the genre of music will depend completely on my mood of the moment, so I say that it depends completely on the context of my life. Nowadays and the truth is that for much of my life I have liked a genre a little more than the rest, so it could be said that it is my favorite musical genre, it is called contemporary R&B, which could be said to be a "mix" of : hip hop, soul, rhythm and blues, funk, pop and EDM.

I like because the elements of soul and rhythm and blues, gives me a  vibe as quiet, while the elements of hip hop, funk, pop and  EDM are the funk ones that give the exciting and "moving" vibe to the songs.

Lately I hear too much about Summer Walker, Khalid and Ella Mai, but especially the last two are the ones I listen to literally all the time, so I could say that they are my favorite singers of the genre (I couldn't decide just one).

A photograph

The photographs of human bodies have always been my admiration, because they show us the different bodies that exist; They transmit the freedom of the prototype that they have instilled in us and that we must all fight to achieve it. This type of photography shows us the strength and beauty of the human body without a trace of morbidity, they see the body as a canvas where each scar, mole, shape, color, or size is an expression of nature. That is why this photo published by the photographer on his Instagram profile on April 16, 2020; it is one of the ones that I liked the most about the artist and other photographers of the same style.

His photographer is Spencer Tunick, who called it "Transparency". I guess I wanted to literally convey the transparency of humanity. I love this image for what it transmits to me. It transmits me a: "This is what we are". The fabric for me is what we say or pretend, they are the stereotypes based on the canons imposed by society that have evolved or maintained throughout history, to which we hold on.

Movies and series

The series that I will recommend to you today is "Anne with an E".

It is not a series with many chapters, but the duration of each one is approximately 45 minutes, although they are extensive, personally I saw the 3 seasons very fast since the plot catches you.

This series is under the production of Miranda de Pencier and its chapters are directed by various directors, some of them are: Niki Caro, Helen Shaver, Sandra Golbacher, David Evans, Patricia Rozema, among others. They probably know about this serie, as lately firms were being collected to make a new season, to give a decent closure to this great story. Well, and if you have never heard about this serie, today I will give you a brief introduction ...

This serie is based on the Anne of Green Gables book. And It is about a girl named Anne who is adopted by 2 siblings from a farming town, where she stands out for her particular way of expressing herself and her wide imagination. The 3 seasons of the series show us the journey of this girl, from the beginning of her new life, until she arrives at university. all this complete path of adventures, and experiences that she learns together with the family she has formed and the friends she has made.

I know it may sound basic, but to be honest if I get excited talking about it probably more than one spoiler I'll give you. I can only say that the reason why I find it so relevant for people to see them is the fact that, despite the context touch topics like: racism, feminism, gender bias, human rights, beauty standards, lgbtq +, sexual harassment, classism, among many other topics, all presented from a very realistic perspective.

maybe, not be my favorite series, but it obviously ranks # 2 on my series top. Really, I´m telling you that it is totally worth watching.
